Ana Pisani

Ana Pisani has worked in the Disability sector for over twenty years. She has witnessed first-hand that understanding, coping mechanisms and positivity are essential to support those she works with and their families. Ana's work reignites in families, the belief that living with disability need not define a person. Now imbuing this message in a story is a further step in helping others to realise their strength and ability to cope with their special needs.

Inspired by her son's experience with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), his strength and resilience, Ana has written a children's book that encourages just that. Her experience working with families in this area has proven the power of positivity provides those with disability in realising and expanding their potential in life. Motivated by the love and harmony of her family unit, Ana debuts My Special Powers as a support resource and inspiration for families and children touched by SPD and Autism.

“I have SUPERPOWERS that make me special.”

My Special Powers by Ana M. Pisani is inspired by and dedicated to her young son and all those living with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and Autism. The story provides an understanding of how those living with SPD navigate and experience life. My Special Powers provide an essential shift in perspective and a greater level of empowerment for children and families.

As a children’s book My Special Powers illustrates a child’s perception of their experience and the ways they can calm themselves when they are feeling overwhelmed. We witness a boy’s acceptance of his symptoms as unique qualities making him a true superhero in everyday life.
