Lorraine de KleuverLorraine de Kleuver has written and illustrated eight children’s picture books. Lorraine, retired nurse turned published author, is passionate about sharing the beauty of her local surroundings with her readers. Her stories remind us that human beings can accomplish great things in the face of adversity. Lorraine’s characters, for the most part, are Australian animals, lovable, friendly and kind. Her stories are full of humour, Australian culture, humour and adventure—just the thing to keep young readers engaged and eager to read more. Lorraine grew up in country Gippsland but has spent her adult life in and around the cultural hub of Melbourne and has since moved back to the Gippsland. Having a particular love of J.R.R. Tolkien’s work and Colleen McCulloch’s Roman series Lorraine is no stranger to the written word. She firmly believes that positivity is the key to a good life. Lorraine has embraced her inner child through writing fun and imaginative stories. With support from husband and her faithful pooch (a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Pip) by her side, she is sharing her love of writing with children and adults alike. Lorraine continues to develop her fabulous collection of tales that pay homage to the world at our door.
